Work that can be put into practice

Niigaan Naabidaa Consulting grew out of work I was already doing: researching issues, questioning policies, developing practical solutions, and helping people understand systems that aren’t always easy to navigate. I take on work involving policy development and review, governance documents, housing systems, harm reduction, health policy, research, and community engagement. The scope depends on what your organization or community needs.

01 / Governance & Policy

Make responsibility clear.

Policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and decision-making tools should help people understand their responsibilities and act on them. My focus is on accountability, practical implementation, and keeping the spirit and intent of the work visible.

02 / Housing & Homelessness

Start with the person trying to find a home.

I’ve experienced homelessness and worked professionally within housing systems. I look at service access, program rules, prevention, and the points where people are left without a workable next step.

03 / Harm Reduction & Health

Care has to be accessible.

I support work around harm reduction, substance use, health policy, and community services. My approach considers evidence, lived experience, dignity, and what a program asks of the people trying to access it.
