Somebody's Auntie Said It

Some stories are easier to tell around a kitchen table. Usually with a coffee, a little laughter, and somebody eventually saying something they probably shouldn't.

Somebody's Auntie Said It is a collection of stories about life, survival, identity, and the things we learn when life doesn't exactly go according to plan.

With humour, honesty, and the occasional uncomfortable truth, T Buzwah takes readers through moments that shaped how they see the world, the systems we live within, and the people who find themselves caught up in them.

This isn't a story about having all the answers. It's about asking questions, challenging what we've been taught, finding meaning in unexpected places, and sometimes realizing that the things we thought had broken us taught us something worth sharing.

Some stories will make you laugh. Others might make you uncomfortable. A few might make you look at the world, or yourself, a little differently.

And that's kind of the point.

Pull up a chair. Auntie has a few things to say.

Ask about the book

There’s more than one way to tell a story.

Some stories become chapters. Some become a short reflection. Some need to sit for a while before I know what I’m trying to say.
